Please keep track of reading minutes on your reading calendar.  Turn it in for a free mini pizza at Pizza Hut. 

Please work on your fluency folder every night.  Turn them in on Fridays.

Spelling

Please remember to practice your spelling words. This week we will be working with the ‘ice” and “ame” chunks.

*name, lame, game, flame, same, tame, frame, came, blame, became

Feb 5^th – 9^th SEP WEEK

School will be dismissed at 2:30 every day this week.

Feb 7^th  - First Grade Spelling Bee Good Luck Charlotte and Jack

Feb 8^th – Grandparents Breakfast 7:45-8:45

Feb 9^th – Spelling Test/Show and Tell/SPIRIT DAY – Wear your Miners shirt or maroon, green or blue shirt.

Feb 14^th – Valentine Party

Feb 19^th – President’s Day - NO SCHOOL

Show and Tell

On Friday Feb 9^th please bring something that begins with the letter “Q”.

Valentines

We will have a class party on Feb. 14^th.  Students can bring valentines for their classmates.  We have 26 kiddos.  Please only have your student write whom it is FROM.  It is easier to pass out if we are not looking for the TO part - and you won’t need a class list.
