Home Reading
They should be reading for 10-15 minutes each night.  The bag and the book should be returned daily.  Books will not be exchanged without a parent signature. Please keep track of reading on your reading calendar.  Mark the minute’s read for the month and return it. 
If books are lost or damaged there is a $5.00 replacement cost, if the book is found your money will be returned.

Spelling
Please remember to practice your spelling words. Spelling tests will be given at the end of the week.  This week we will be working with the ‘ad’ and ‘ig’ chunks.

Our spelling test will have a total of 13 words.  Five ‘at’ words, five ‘it’ words, and three tricky words.  We will practice adding beginning sounds to each chunk also known as word families.
