Please keep track of reading minutes on your reading calendar.  Turn it in for a free mini pizza at Pizza Hut. Don’t forget our Kite Flight for Reading & Sight.

Fluency Folders

Please work on fluency folders every night.  Turn them in on Fridays. 

Spelling

Please remember to practice your spelling words. This week we will be working with the ‘eat” and “uck” chunks.

*eat, neat, seat, beat, heat, meat, treat, cheat, wheat, repeat, defeat

*luck, tuck, duck, yuck, buck, puck, sucker, truck, cluck, stuck

*Sight words: on, off, give

Dates to Remember

Feb 14^th – Valentines Party

Feb 16th-Spelling Test/ Show and Tell/Spirit Day – Wear your Miners shirt or maroon, green, blue or white

Feb 19^th – President’s Day- NO SCHOOL

Valentines

We will have a class party on Feb. 14^th.  Students can bring valentines for their classmates.  We have 26 kiddos.  Please only have your student write whom it is FROM.  It is easier to pass out if we are not looking for the TO part - and you won’t need a class list.

Show and Tell

On Friday Feb 16th please bring something that begins with the letter “R”.
