Home Reading
Your
child should be reading for 10-15 minutes each night. The bag and the book should be returned daily. Books will not
be exchanged without a parent signature. Please keep track of reading minutes on
your reading calendar. Mark the minutes
read for the month and return it.
If
books are lost or damaged there is a $5.00 replacement cost, if the book is
found your money will be returned.

Spelling
Our
spelling test will have a total of 13 words.
Five ‘at’ words, five ‘it’ words, and three tricky words. We will practice adding beginning sounds to
each chunk also known as word families.
Please
remember to practice your spelling words. Spelling tests will be given at the
end of the week. This week we will be
working with the ‘at’ and ‘it’ chunks.

Show and Tell
On
Friday Sept 8th, please bring something that begins with the letter
“b”.

I
will attach a copy of the volunteer schedule.
If you didn’t get a chance to sign up and want to come in, please
contact me. If someone else has the time
you want, don’t worry I can have two helpers at a time.
