Home Reading/Fluency Folder

Please keep track of reading minutes on your reading calendar.  Turn it in for a prize.

Please work on fluency folders every night.  Turn them in on Fridays.

We will have DIBELS testing again April 30th.  Practice Nonsense words and passages.

Don’t forget our Kite Flight for Reading & Sight April 28^th from   10 – 3. It is a FREE event with lots of FREE activities for the kids and tons of giveaways! Every reading calendar turned in at the event is money earned for our school! Woo Hoo!! 

Spelling

Remember to practice your spelling words. This week we will be working with the “aw” and “ar” chunks.

*raw, jaw, law, saw, straw, claw, draw, thaw, flaw, seesaw, outlaw, jigsaw *far, car, bar, jar, tar, scar, star, guitar, jaguar, ajar, handlebar

 *Sight words: mother, father, only

Apr 27th– Spelling Test/Show and Tell/SPIRIT DAY – Wear your Miners shirt.

Apr 28^th – Kite Flight for Reading & Sight 10-3 at Cedar Middle School

May 8^th – Field Trip Ladybug Nursery/Library/State Bank

Flip Flops

 Flip flops are NOT allowed at school.

Show and Tell

 On Friday Apr 27^th please bring something that begins with “Y”.
