Please keep track of reading minutes on your reading calendar.  Turn it in for a free mini pizza at Pizza Hut. 

Please work on your fluency folder every night.  Turn them in on Fridays.

Kite Flight

Don’t forget our Kite Flight for Reading & Sight. This brings $$$ to our school.

Spelling

Please remember to practice your spelling words. This week we will be working with the ‘ice” and “ame” chunks.

Feb 8^th  - First Grade Spelling Bee - Good Luck Nate and Mataya

Feb 10^th – Spelling Test/Show and Tell/SPIRIT DAY – Wear your Miners shirt or maroon, green or blue shirt.

Feb 14^th – Valentine Party

Feb 16^th – Iron Springs Talent Show

Feb 20^th – President’s Day - NO SCHOOL

Show and Tell

On Friday Feb 10^th please bring something that begins with the letter “Q”.

Valentines

We will have a class party on Feb. 14^th.  Students can bring valentines for their classmates.  We have 24 kiddos.  Please only have your student write who it is FROM.  It is easier to pass out if we are not looking for the TO part - and you won’t need a class list.
