Please keep track of reading minutes on your reading calendar.  Turn it in for a free mini pizza at Pizza Hut.

Don’t forget our Kite Flight for Reading & Sight. It is a FREE event with lots of FREE activities for the kids and tons of giveaways! Every reading calendar turned in at the event is money earned for our school! Woo Hoo!! 

Fluency Folders

Keep practicing in your fluency folder.  Turn them in on Friday.

Spelling

Remember to practice your spelling words. This week we will be working with the ‘ace” and “ook” chunks.

*ace, race, face, mace, lace, pace, brace, place, space, trace

*book, look, took, nook, hook, cook, brook, crook, shook, rook

*Tricky words: would, sharp, fern

Math –a- Thon

Wilson & Whetten will match our classroom pledges.  $$$ is used for technology at our school. 

Pledge sheets due Wednesday.

Each student who brings in $ receives a free food coupon and a raffle ticket.  They are entered for the drawing to make Mr. Jenkins into a pizza.

Dr. Seuss Contest

Congrats to Mrs. Prince’s class.  They read 201 Dr. Seuss books. We were in 2^nd place with 170 books. 

Kamree and Jeter were our class winners each reading 34 books.
